Cornish Pirates

On the last Thursday in May, Pirates players Sam Betty, Owen Hambly, Matt Jess and Dan Seal, accompanied by fitness coach Simon Raynes and Team Manager Adrian Edwards, visited St. Hilary School to participate in their ‘Healthy Living’ afternoon.

It proved to be a very successful event, with great input from all involved, especially Sam Betty’s cooking skills on the BBQ.

The school has numerous stands showing children and parents the different types of healthy food available and how to put together healthy lunch boxes.

They also had the opportunity to sample fresh fish and kebabs, smoothy drinks and a variety of nibbles.

With it being a Football World Cup summer, the afternoon ended in topical style with Dan Seal and Matt Jess displaying their round ball skills when playing football in the playground with pupils.
