With
this fixture now scheduled to take place at the Mennaye Field, Penzance, it is
an opportune time to post a map to show new supporters of our how to get there.
With reference to parking facilities, we must point out that the
two at the ground are restricted to players and certain other individuals, all
concerned having been provided with official car park passes. However, there is
normally ample car parking in the area, us highlighting the large harbour car
park near the railway station (15 minutes comfortable walk), the centre of town
car parks near St. John’s Hall (8 minutes), one opposite the outdoor bathing pool
on the east end of the promenade (8 minutes), and the car park on the west end
of the promenade opposite the Co-op (3 minutes).
It should be noted
that the stand capacity at the Mennaye is sufficient to accommodate all stand
and premium season ticket holders, including debenture holders.
Admission
to the ground is £10 for adults, £7 for concessions, and just £1 for children
under 16.
Although the game has to be played at Penzance, we still
expect a big crowd. Anyone interested in booking ‘hospitality’ tables should contact
Sally Emery on 08452703530, whilst we are also having a Past Players Reunion on
the day. Former players wishing to attend the Reunion, where a pre-match buffet
is to be provided, should contact Robert ‘Rastus’ Williams on 07968420779.
At the end of the match our President, Richard Evans, will present ‘The
President’s Cup’ to the player who, in his opinion, has been the most outstanding
contributor on the field during the season. The three winners to date have been
Richard Carroll, Alan Paver and Iva Motusaga, but who will be the choice this
year?
Following the presentation many will head for the bars, to
finish the season off in celebratory style with our good friends the Cadgwith
Singers leading the singing. It promises to be quite an afternoon!
