The Pirates last met Nottingham in the Duchy
back in January when they ran out 38-25 victors at the Mennaye Field. A try-double
from Wes Davies, plus touchdowns from Matt Jess, Wade Kelly and Lee Jarvis, who
converted all five tries, as well as a penalty ensured maximum points for Jim
McKay's side.
The result ensured the Pirates completed the league double
over the Midlanders, who they defeated 42-21 at Ireland Avenue earlier in the
season. That game, however, was marred by an horrific injury to Pirates No.8 Matt
Evans.
