Honours were even between both the Pirates and
Sedgley Park in National League One last season.
Having defeated
the Pirates 28-27 at Park Lane - a game which was to spell the end of former coach
Kevin Moseley - the Cornish club gained their revenge when they defeated the Manchester-based
club in the return leg at the Mennaye.
The Pirates ran in six tries
in their 36-29 victory, although the visitors, who included current Pirate Richard
Welding in their ranks, were able to return with two bonus points following an
enthralling encounter.
