PIRATES' v WHARFEDALE LAST TIME OUT / 03-11-2005

The last time these two clubs met at the Mennaye was back in October 2002 when the two fought out a 34-34 draw.

A last-gasp conversion from Jonathan Davies enabled the Yorkshire outfit to claim a share of the spoils. However, it was the Pirates who were celebrating come the end of the season as they claimed the league title with a six-point cushion over closest rivals Henley Hawks.

On the day the Pirates ran in five tries courtesy of Nat Saumi, Mark Fatialofa, Vili Ma'asi, Ian Hambly and James Hawken. Hambly also plundered three conversions, while Saumi was on song with a penalty before an injury curtailed his afternoon.
