After a tough few weeks it was fantastic to
return to winning ways with this fine result against high flying Bedford.
We
knew we had to raise the intensity levels against this big strong set of forwards
and this certainly happened especially in defence where the boys put in hit after
hit and then in attack we played some scintillating rugby.
It was certainly
the best game of rugby witnessed at Kenwyn and many people commented on it being
one of the best games of rugby they had seen anywhere in a long while and credit
must also go to Bedford who played some great stuff. Once again we have another
tough away encounter as we visit Nottingham next Saturday and we would like to
carry on from this week and put in another good performance.
Last Wednesday
evening the players attended a “Healthy Living and Fitness Evening” at Mounts
Bay School and it was an excellent event, the highlights being a “Ready Steady
Cook” competition and the Concept 2 rowing machine race between a number of clubs
and I wont mention that the Pirates “A” team came out winners. A big well done
to Sara Davey and her staff for an extremely successful evening, it was really
enjoyable.
As a reminder some date of matches where there has been some
