COVENTRY AWAY
25-04-2006
Once
again the Pirates produced a very good performance against a dangerous Coventry
outfit and came away with a great win and five points which cements third place
in the league, the highest ever finish in the clubs history.
It
was another good effort from the boys who had to fight to the final whistle to
ensure the victory as Coventry never gave up and fought back continually to keep
in touch with the Pirates.

It has been a good end to the season with hard fought victories especially the
games away at Otley and Coventry and not forgetting last weeks fine performance
against Albion.
Next Saturday brings the curtain down on this season with
the final fixture against London Welsh being played back at the Mennaye and I’m
sure this will be a fitting end to what has been a thoroughly entertaining season.
The players and staff will no doubt enjoy a refreshment or three in the
bar afterwards, as it is the final game and a Saturday evening, (the next day
recovery session may be cancelled) !
Congratulations to Harlequins on
a swift return to the Premiership as we now look forward to the challenge of yet
another big and talented club, Leeds who play in the expanded Division 1 next
season.
