Skill levels shown by all participants were impressive, a credit both to the pupils for learning and to the coaches who have helped develop them. Cornish Pirates players who have provided coaching and who were present on the day included Sam Betty, Scott Hobson, Owen Hambly, Adam Nicholls, Mike Rawlings, Gareth Tedstone, and Lewis Webb.

All matches were refereed by Chris 'Jan' Rendall, who was thanked for his efforts, with Adrian Edwards, Team Manager for the Cornish Pirates, and player Adam Nicholls, presenting certificates to all the youngsters who took part.

As an extra reward for winning, the St. Mary's team will now join the Cornish Pirates at Twickenham on Sunday 15th. April, and play on the hallowed turf along with other tag teams representing Premiership sides

It also means, of course, that three Cornish rugby teams can now look forward to what should be an amazing experience, a day not to forget.
