Energy
National Trophy Fifth Round Draw - Jan 22/07
Pirates
Away To Leeds In The 5th Round
Match
Date Confirmed FRIDAY 9th February Kick Off 7.45pm
Pirates
coach Jim McKay admits he and his side are looking forward to having another crack
at divisional rivals Leeds after they were pitted against the Tykes in the EDF
Energy National Trophy fifth round draw.
Having tackled
the Yorkshire club twice already this season, the Pirates will be hoping to finally
record a victory over their divisional rivals, who won the league meeting at Headingley
21-20 back in late September, then drew the reverse fixture at Camborne 21-21
last month.
The
clash is certainly the tie of the round, but Australian coach McKay is relishing
his side's return to Headingley. He said: "Ideally we'd have liked
a home draw, but this is what we've got and we've had to go with this.
"Going
to Leeds will be a tough game, but it's a game we'll really look forward to. It
will be a challenge, but if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best
at some stage."
The Pirates booked their spot
in yesterday's draw by defeating fellow National One side Moseley 48-0 at the
Recreation Ground on Sunday.
