Cornish Pirates are pleased to announce that they have appointed a new Marketing Manager. Rob McEvoy, formerly of Guinness Premiership high flyers Sale Sharks has joined as the Cornish Pirates look to become Cornwalls Premiership Rugby representatives.

Rob, 27, was previously at Sale Sharks for 6 years has held a number of positions in the Marketing, Sales and Community departments there, and will hopefully bring experience and direction as the Cornish Pirates look to become a Premiership team off and on the pitch.

Cornish Pirates Chief Executive Rod Coward said "This is an exciting appointment for Cornish Pirates, and one that demonstrates our determination to become a sustainable and long term force in the world of rugby.

Our push for Premiership rugby action and the rewards that would bring for the people of Cornwall must not only bring improved performance on the pitch, but off it as well. I believe that with Robs experience, we will now become a more professional outfit and be able to deliver a lot more value to the local community."
