Peter
Cook from Harlequins & Simon Whatling from Worcester join the Pirates. 24-year-old
loose-head prop forward Peter Cook, formerly of Leicester made his Premiership
debut for the Tigers aged 19, coincidentally against Quins, propping against England
legend Jason Leonard. Peter - rated as one of the very best props in the
league - played against the Pirates twice when with Nottingham in 2005-06, and
again when on loan to the 'Green & Whites' at Meadow Lane last November.

Simon
Whatling, formerly of Devizes, Chippenham, and Bath, heads south to the Pirates
after a three-year spell at Worcester. He has played
for England up to U21s level, captaining them in the 2005 World Championships
held in Argentina. Having Premiership experience, and still
just 22 years of age, Simon will be looking to make a big impression in National
One, hoping for more game time to aid his development as a player.
