Adrian Unveils Vitalise Churchtown's Tribute To Cornish China Clay Industry

17th November 2007

Disabled day service users from Vitalise Churchtown have created an amazing new mural at the China Clay Country Park in St. Austell.

Special guest Adrian Edwards, the Cornish Pirates team manager, unveiled the mural during an open afternoon at the Country Park on Saturday.

Taking inspiration from recent visits to the Country Park, day service users from Vitalise's Centre for disabled adults and children in Lanlivery chose three pictures as the basis for the project and then reproduced the images using varying media from painting to collage, to create a vibrant new mural.

During the event a raffle and prize draw was also held, with prizes ranging from Cornish Pirates match tickets to meal vouchers. All funds raised will be donated to Vitalise Churchtown.

Rob Evely, Vitalise Churchtown Day Service Manager, said:
"It was a wonderful day and we would like to thank Adrian Edwards for his and the Cornish Pirates support to Vitalise Churchtown."
