The British Lions Are Coming

British Lions At Penryn Rugby Club
23-25th May 2008

The final touches and preparations are being made, as the British Lions and Penryn Rugby club 1973 re-union weekend of 23rd-25th May draws nearer.

The event that has been planned for the best part of 12 months from a hard working committee team is in its final stages.

The event will also celebrate the life of the late Les Williams an International Union and League player who was closely associated with Penryn Rugby Club during his life.

In 1973 the "71 Lions" who were victorious in New Zealand and won the test series, played a select 15 against Penryn at the memorial ground winning 38-10 in a memorable occasion.
