Pirates At Royal Cornwall Show (5-7th June 2008) The
Cornish Pirates will be taking part in the Royal Cornwall Show in 2008, working
on 2 stands at the popular event to held on the 5th, 6th and 7th of June at the
County Showground near Wadebridge. We will be sharing
stand number 343 with Truro and Wadebridge based independent financial advisers,
Worldwide Financial Planning, The stand is situated between
the main ring and the main entrance, with Cornish Pirates players lined up to
be in attendance there at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. |
 | As
well as mixing with the public, the players will be taking part in boxing contests
against show goers, but thankfully for our insurers, only on the Nintendo Wii
Console. The 'Wii Challenge' will pit members of the public
against Pirates players, looking to see who has the most firepower and strength. "I'm
really looking forward to this challenge, its going to be very funny, I can just
imagine Sam Heard getting laid out by a small child!" said Worldwide's
Managing Director, Peter McGahan Sam's reply cant be printed,
but he suggested that it probably wouldn't happen. There
will also be a 'Spot the Ball' competition, and free giveaways available at the
stall. Additionally, at stand number 78, in the Camborne
Town Council Tent, the Cornish Pirates will have a stall in partnership with Whirlwind
Sports. Pirates merchandise and giveaways will be available,
and Pirates players will be signing autographs on the stage at midday and 2pm. | Pirates

This
will give all supporters a chance to get their merchandise signed by the players,
and also to get some great deals on Pirates shirts and other merchandise. Shirts
will be available at the special price of £29.99, with a number of other
special offers to be revealed at the stand itself. Two Cornish Pirates players
are planned to be in attendance each day, as well as Captain Benbow, and there
will be visits from Head Coach Mark Hewitt, Assistant Brett Davey, and Chief Executive
Rod Coward. Additionally Rob McEvoy, Community Coach Mike Crump and hopefully
other staff will be on hand as well to mingle with the crowds and businesses. Royal
