Healthy Schools Day at Eden

Cornish Pirates' Canadian international back-rower Stan McKeen has this week attended a Cornish Healthy Schools Event at the Eden Project. .

The Pirates were keen to participate on the day, Stan helping out in healthy eating workshops, including how to make healthy pasties and pizzas, as well as making a healthy pasta dish with Fifteen Restaurant. He also encouraged the children who were taking part various healthy activities, which included fencing and aerobics.

The Cornish Pirates were asked to take part due to the role model qualities that the players have. As the only full time professional squad in Cornwall, it is their job to eat correctly to improve strength and fitness, and maintain good health.
