Cornish Pirates

'Pirate' Gig Rowers

Squad News
Tuesday 23rd. October, 2007

A change of routine for the Cornish Pirates saw them take to the sea at Marazion this week in gigs kindly provided by the Mounts Bay Gig Club. A spell of rowing fitness and competitive racing in pretty choppy conditions followed a good morning's rugby session and review of the Bedford match.

Team Manager Adrian Edwards commented: "It was really good fun, and a big thank-you to Gary Rich and Charlotte Roberts from Mounts Bay Gig Club who helped us on the day."

Thanks were also expressed to Bolitho Estates and the National Trust, as the players were later given a tour around St. Michael's Mount, which they enjoyed and greatly appreciated.
