Squad News 25th
September 2007 Surfing At Gwithian A
change of routine saw the Cornish Pirates take to the surf at Gwithian on Tuesday
for a team building day that provided a chance to refresh body & mind.
After
reviewing the past weekend's match against Pertemps Bees on the nearby Sandsifter
Bar's big screen, the squad made their way to the beach for an afternoon of sand
and surf. Professional
tuition was given by qualified instructors from the Gwithian Academy of Surfing,
the experienced surfers took the chance to fine-tune their skills, whilst the
novices amongst the squad had the benefit of tuition from some of the UK's top
instructors. (The Gwithian Academy of Surfing is a British Surfing
Association Approved Level 4 - the highest possible approval rating - surf school) Cornish
Pirates Team Manager, Adrian Edwards, commented: "We must thank the Sandsifter
and the Gwithian Academy of Surfing for their help on the day, it a change of
routine for the players, something beneficially different which was enjoyed by
all." | | Peter
