Surfing At Gwithian

A change of routine saw the Cornish Pirates take to the surf at Gwithian on Tuesday for a team building day that provided a chance to refresh body & mind.

After reviewing the past weekend's match against Pertemps Bees on the nearby Sandsifter Bar's big screen, the squad made their way to the beach for an afternoon of sand and surf.Surfing At Gwithian 2

Professional tuition was given by qualified instructors from the Gwithian Academy of Surfing, the experienced surfers took the chance to fine-tune their skills, whilst the novices amongst the squad had the benefit of tuition from some of the UK's top instructors.
(The Gwithian Academy of Surfing is a British Surfing Association Approved Level 4 - the highest possible approval rating - surf school)

Cornish Pirates Team Manager, Adrian Edwards, commented: "We must thank the Sandsifter and the Gwithian Academy of Surfing for their help on the day, it a change of routine for the players, something beneficially different which was enjoyed by all."

The Gwithian Academy of Surfing is a British Surfing Association Approved Level 4 (the highest possible approval rating) surf school that operates from Gwithian - the Northernmost point of St Ives Bay - and is very close to the towns of Hayle and St Ives.
