Coached
by Nigel Redman and Mark Mapletoft, England's opener will be against Wales at
Gloucester on February 1, followed by four more games in February and March before
preparing for the IRB Junior World Championships in June. Scott
is only one of three National Division One players in the squad, the rest all
representatives from Premiership clubs.. Redman, a former
Bath, England and British Lions player, commented: "Playing at England
U20s level is a real springboard for th players, not only in terms of representative
rugby but also in helping them make progress for their clubs. They
have the chance to get more exposure, develop their game, and build confidence.
This game is about club plus country and everyone should benefit." Scott
has played for England at U18s and U19s level, a playing highlight starting the
quarter-final match against New Zealand in the U19s World Championships played
in Belfast last year. |
