It has been confirmed
that 24 years old South African back-rower Jannie Bornman has signed for the Cornish
Pirates.
Jannie, who has previously represented Griquas in South Africa's
prestigious Currie Cup competition, playing for a spell alongside present Cornish
'Pirate' Bruce Cumming, had a couple of season's with Earth Titans, where he established
himself as one of National Division One's outstanding forwards.
A potently
effective ball-carrier and fierce tackler, he then signed for Plymouth Albion,
where he has captained the team and been one of their best players.

for quite some time, he's a quality person and player who suits our style of play,
and who will fit in well with our plans for next year."
