That is because the Cornish Pirates players have signed up for 'Movember' and will be growing moustaches for the entire month of November in order to raise awareness and money for the Children's Hospice South West Precious Lives Appeal.

The Precious Lives Appeal is the Cornish Pirates players chosen charity for this season and they are trying to help raise the £5million needed for a new children's hospice in Cornwall.

Every player will be taking part, or giving a £50 donation and Rhodri McAtee, who was photographed at the launch of Movember said: "The boys can't wait to get started. We went to see some of the children involved in the summer and it really made us want to help as much as we can.

I think we will look cool with big handlebar moustaches! Although I'm not sure I'll be able to and if we can help raise awareness and some money, then even better."
