Youth Games Schools from around Penwith competed in a range of sports at the Penwith Youth Games held at Penwith College, Penzance Cricket Club, the Leisure Centre, the Astro Park and Bolitho School. During a hot and busy afternoon some 300 pupils from 6 secondary schools were involved in athletics, badminton, basketball, dance, hockey, netball, rounders, tag rugby and tennis competitions, all organised by the Penwith Sports Partnership. The hectic action began at 1.15pm and finished at 5pm, Rhodri
McAtee and Adrian Edwards, on behalf of the Cornish Pirates, presenting certificates
to the pupils at the closing ceremony.
