Ten
pupils from St. Mary's C. of E. School, Penzance, enjoyed an unforgettable day
at Twickenham on the same day as the Cornish Pirates and Mounts Bay were jubilant
trophy winners at the home of English rugby.

The youngsters
were there to represent the Cornish Pirates as part of the new EDF Energy National
Schools Rugby Programme, which is introducing close to 100,000 children to the
sport over the next three years.
Besides taking part in
a tag rugby display at half-time of the Pirates match versus Exeter Chiefs, the
children, all aged nine and ten, also took part in a parade around the pitch before
the EDF Energy Cup final played between Leicester Tigers and the Ospreys.
On
Thursday morning a number of Cornish Pirates players attended school assembly
at St. Mary's, both to congratulate them on their participation and also to give
the pupils a close look at the EDF Energy National trophy.
