Rotary Ramble

Helping to raise funds both for the Rotary Club of Penzance and for the club's Mini-Juniors, representatives from the Pirates participated in last Sunday's highly successful 'Rotary Ramble'.

Wendy Nicholas, who is the Chairman of the Pirates Youth Section, was joined by a number of her colleagues, plus Cornish Pirates players Jimmy Moore and Iva Motusaga, photographer Brian Tempest, family members, and a spirited Captain Benbow who defied the heat of the day to walk in his best 'attire'

Starting from Perranuthnoe, walkers had the choice of either stepping it out on two loops of 3 and 4 miles to the west and east of the village, or taking on the challenge of a combined 7-mile walk, and all within one of the most scenic areas of West Cornwall, which takes in breathtaking views over Mounts Bay.
