Cornish
Pirates V Otley Saturday January 3rd
Kick Off 2pm | | |
The
Cornish Pirates team for Saturday's opening game in 2009 has been named, with
it showing a number of changes from the side that played against Exeter Chiefs. For
the match at home to Otley, Dan Seal is selected at tight-head prop in place of
Sam Heard, a fit again Rhys Jones is to play at fly-half ahead of Simon Whatling,
whilst there are two new combinations in the 'threes'. Aisea Havili and Rhodri
McAtee will form the wing partnership, and the centre pairing will be Steve Winn
and Paul Devlin. Rob Elloway is fit once more and is named
on the bench. It is hoped that a number of other players
in the squad will soon be back to full fitness, but for information the list of
those presently injured reads - Mark Ireland, Ed Fairhurst, Adryan Winnan, Bertrand
Bedes, Mike Burak, Scott Franklin, Matt Evans, Alan Paver and Bruce Cumming. Cornish
