It
is clear from the interest generated that rugby supporters in Cornwall can't wait
for the 'off', with two of Cornwall's leading clubs, the Pirates and Redruth,
going head to head in an opening pre-season 'friendly' at Camborne on Saturday
16th August, kick-off at 5pm.

The
Cornish Pirates, who have retained 22 of their squad from last season, have 13
new faces that supporters will be keen to cast an eye over, with the game providing
both teams with valuable preparation ahead of their respective National One and
Two league campaigns. Rowe's the bakers, who are beginning
their third season as major sponsors of the Cornish Pirates, have divided loyalty
for this match having recently signed up to sponsor Redruth Rugby Club for the
first time this season. Paul Pearce, Marketing Manager
for Rowe's, said:
"It's an honour to be able to be involved with
arguably two of the best supported teams in the county.
It should be a great match and a great spectacle for the supporters. We're delighted
that as a Cornish Company, we can support events like this that showcase the ongoing
success of local sport." |
