A
retired schoolteacher, David, along with other members of his family, has been
great servant to Cornish sport.
He is Cornwall's Representative
on the RFU Council, is a former Chairman of the Cornwall RFU who has sat on various
committees, and is also President-elect this year. David
will be 70 next month and will be most deserving of the honour hopefully to be
bestowed upon him. He has been a welcome face at the Mennaye
Field, at Kenwyn, and here at Camborne, working for Radio Cornwall in recent years
alongside his brother John and grandaughter Chloe. It must
be mentioned that David was also one of the west country's leading referees for
many years, as was his late brother Victor. |
