More Photos Club
sponsors and season ticket holders gathered at the Camborne clubhouse last Thursday
evening when the Cornish Pirates 'launched' their new home and away shirts for
the seasons 2008/09 and 2009/10. The new shirt is from Samurai's
cutting edge 'SublimaX' material, and features brand new designs. |
The
home shirt is made up of red, black and white, and has the name of new main sponsors
Hemingways across the front. As for the change shirt, it
is made up of black and gold colours. In addition to Hemingways,
both shirts display the logos of all the Cornish Pirates major sponsors, including
Rowe's the Bakers, Energy Access, Worldwide Financial Planning, Minster Insulation,
Whirlwind Sports and Samurai. Chief Executive Rod Coward
said: "We have been working with Samurai regarding the design of the new
shirt, and myself and the team are delighted with the results. I am certain that
the shirts will be a big winner with our supporters." | | Mark

A Question
& Answer session also took place involving CEO Rod Coward, and coaches Mark
Hewitt, Brett Davey and Simon Raynes. It was informative and well received,
with the hugely successful evening then rounded off with entertainment provided
by Graham Hart who helped involve everyone to participate in a planned singalong.
All present were in fine voice for a recording of the chorus of the Beach
Boys popular hit 'Sloop John B' to be made, but with the words suitably altered
for playing on match days, when it is envisaged that even larger numbers will
respond to sing it live. |
