The
Samurai produced shirt features palm trees, waves, a surfboard and the Pirate
FM FeatherMotif, and the aim is to help raise funds for the 'Pirate Trust', which
is the official charity of PirateFM. Anyone interested
can see what it looks like in the windows of Whirlwind Sports in Penzance, Camborne
and Helston. To raise money for the
Pirate Trust, the shirts will be auctioned before the match via an on-line auction,
Pirate FM will be holding a bucket collection on the day, and they have also been
running 'text to win' competitions on air ahead of Saturday's game. Bob
McCreadie, Programme Director for Pirate FM said:"It is fantastic that
the Cornish Pirates have chosen to wear the colours of the Pirate Trust and support
the charity. We want as many of our listeners as possible to get along to the
game and givesome money to the cause." To
help boost the crowd, the Cornish Pirates will be offering special price family
tickets so that more people can come and watch the game, and enjoy a fantastic
end of season party in Camborne, which includes a hog roast, live entertainment
and a bouncy castle for the children. Also,
all who book a ticket in advance through the Cornish Pirates Ticket Office will
be placed in raffle to win one of the shirts. For
information contact the Ticket Office at 01736-331961. Bids
for the shirts have gone very well indeed, with there a total of 20 being auctioned
in aid of thePirate Trust. |
