Pirates v Redruth
Saturday August 16th Kick Off 5:00pm | The
Cornish Pirates can advise that Redruth will provide opposition for their first
confirmed pre-season 'friendly'. Scheduled to be played
at the Recreation Ground, Camborne, on Saturday 16th August, Admission
will be £5 for the Terraces and East Stand (accompanied children under 16
'free'),
And £10 to all for the main grandstand. | In
the meantime, and to further help the squad suitably prepare in readiness for
for their 2008-09 league opener at home to Newbury on Sunday 31st August, the
club is hopeful of arranging one other pre-season match against high level opposition,
details of which will be confirmed in due course. Coach,
Mark Hewitt, commented:
"With the bulk of the squad now gathering for
pre-season training, we will be looking forward to playing a couple of important
'friendly' fixtures just ahead of what should be a competitive league campaign.
Our team looks likely to be an extremely able one, with strength in depth, and
there every chance of us hopefully achieving success." | |
