Cornwall's Premier Rugby Club, we want the people of Cornwall to as proud of the
club as they are of Cornwall. The event we have put together will be a fantastic
family day out, and we know the families of Cornwall love a good fun family day
out, topped off with some exciting rugby" A special highlight
of the day will be a Giant Pasty Parade, which will be led by the Falmouth Marine
Band and feature schoolchildren who enter the WC Rowe competition below. The Parade
will travel around the ground, Camborne Park and back into the stadium, with the
pasty being passed over the posts, as in the days of old. Lucy
Cox, Neighbourhood and Involvement Manager for Coastline Housing said "Coastline
Housing are delighted to be supporting the St Piran's Festival, as we think it
will be a fantastic day, and just what our residents will really enjoy. By
sponsoring the event, we have a number of free tickets for our residents, and
we know that they will grasp the opportunity to have a fantastic family day out" In
addition, Coastline Housing have 1000 tickets for local residents, who will hopefully
come along and experience the great family day out. The
people who benefit most will be the Cornish Pirates players, who will be roared
on by what the club hopes will be a sell out crowd. Adryan
Winnan, the Cornish Pirates Cornish Club Captain said "The
St Piran's Festival will be a fantastic day for the club, and to represent Cornwall's
Premier team in front of such a crowd will be a tremendous honour for me as a
Cornishman. We are trying to build something special, and something
that is truly Cornish. I hope as many people as possible come along, and that
we can put on a show for them" Festival
