Festival - Programme Of Events
Bertrand
Bedes and Adryan Winnan hold a giant pasty made by W. C. Rowe's, Cornish Bakers,
which will be paraded as part of the St. Piran's Festival on Sunday. The
parade, led by the Falmouth Marine Band, starts from Camborne School at 2pm.
Five
minutes before kick-off the Falmouth Marine Band will hang the giant pasty from
a cross-bar at the clubhouse end of the ground. This has been a Cornish
rugby tradition at important games that stretches back over 100 years. Interest
for Sunday's planned St. Piran's Festival has been high, and tickets for the afternoon's
game have also sold well. A big crowd is guaranteed, but tickets will also be
for sale on the day.
