Pirates
match day steward Steve Pinfield, who is also an expedition leader, polar and
jungle expert, is one of the world's more renowned and experienced adventurers.
Steve regularly visits all parts of the globe,
has climbed some of the most inspiring peaks, and in recent years has never let
the chance slip of getting a photograph taken of him wearing a Pirates shirt.
He is presently on his travels in South Africa, where he
couldn't resist being photographed under a 'Pirates Bowls Club' sign in Johannesburg.
Perhaps
the most memorable rugby occasion for Steve was back on the 12th February, 2005,
when he was pictured 5200 metres up on a mountain in Chile, wearing a Pirates
shirt and anxiously waiting for the rugby results on the BBC World Service. Do
you remember the fixture and the outcome? Wait for it..............Bristol 11,
the Cornish Pirates 18, it a memorable day indeed!
