3rd 2008 The Cornish Pirates have confirmed that 29 years old
Doug Sanft, a Samoan international who joined the Cornish Pirates during the summer,
is to go on loan to National Two side Mounts Bay. Commenting on the loan
agreement, Rod Coward, Cornish Pirates CEO, said:. "Doug Sanft has
not had much game time so far this season and we are anxious for him to to prove
his match fitness and to challenge for a starting place with the Cornish Pirates.
We have therefore agreed that he will be joining Mounts Bay on loan as we believe
this will give him the opportunity he needs." Wellington born
Doug has played at a high level in New Zealand's NPC competition, and at the end
of last season starred in Spain's Copa de SM El Rey final, scoring 21 points for
CRC Madrid in their 36-31 points victory again El Salvador. |
