Having
made his debut for the Wales Sevens team at Twickenham the previous week when
the Welsh side lost to Kenya in the 'Bowl' Final, Cornish Pirates fly-half Rhys
Jones was again in action for his country this past weekend.
The
last of this 2008-09 season's IRB Sevens Series was contested at a scorching hot
Murrayfield, and Rhys helped the World Cup Sevens winners to a semi-final place
in the main Cup competition, where they were beaten 28-14 by Fiji.
In the
final, played early on Sunday evening, Fiji won 20-19 against South Africa who,
by qualifying for the quarter-finals the day before, had already clinched the
Series overall.
