Sam Raven flying out to join Eastern Suburbs Sydney.

At the player's request, lock forward Sam Raven, who joined the Cornish Pirates from Rotherham Titans back in January, has been granted an early release from his contract.

Sam has made three appearances for the Pirates, and is now flying off to Australia to play for Eastern Suburbs, Sydney, Australia.

Commenting on Sam's release, CEO Rod Coward said:

"We feel that our response is very much in Sam's best interest.

His contribution during his time here has been much appreciated, and he leaves with our sincere good wishes."
