CONNOR & TREVYNE ARE 'KESSTRIF' WINNERS

PIRATES ARE TICKLED PINK!

Bagas Benbow News
10th March 2010

'Bagas Benbow' (Benbow's Gang) is the club for junior supporters of the Cornish Pirates, and following a 'kesstrif' (a competition) recently run by the Cornish Language Partnership (MAGA) in association with the Cornish Pirates, the names of the two winners have been revealed.

Connor Drew from Camborne and Trevyne Coombes were the lucky youngsters announced when the Pirates recently played Newport in the British & Irish Cup competition.

A 'Tales from Porth Games Box' prize, that aids the learning of Cornish in a fun and interesting way, was presented to Connor at the match by Cornish Pirates lock forward Luke Collins, who is also learning 'Kernewek' (Cornish).

Elizabeth Stewart from MAGA (pictured) advised that Trevyne was unable to make the game, but will have his prize presented at a match to suit in the near future.
