COMMUNITY WORK AT CAPE

Community team active at Cape Cornwall School
May 2010

The new start to the term has seen the Cornish Pirates Community team active at Cape Cornwall School, St. Just.

Working with the Cornish Pirates Learning Zone, the Community Coaches are delivering one hour of sport a week with the school's 'Double Club'. The set up is the same as the one that has been running at Mounts Bay School for over a year now, whereby the pupils benefit from one hour of curriculum activities followed by an hour of sport.

Community Development Officer Mike Crump said: “Cape Cornwall have been working with the Cornish Pirates Learning Zone for quite some time now and it has paid off. The set up given us at the school to deliver these sessions is great. The children will benefit from all of the latest software, and with available facilities they can continue to enjoy their sport.”

These weekly sessions at both Mounts Bay and Cape Cornwall Schools will continue for the next year.
