Girls Rugby At Penryn

Cornish Pirates community coaches Mike Crump and Leon Pohe are delivering coaching sessions to the Penryn RFC Women's team.

The side, which has been together for over a year now, train once a week and regularly play on weekends during the season.

Mike commented: “Penryn Women's team contacted me to ask for assistance with their summer training sessions and for help to advertise their team with the aim to make their squad bigger.

The development of the women's side at Penryn RFC has been very much welcomed by other local clubs and I am sure they will do very well this season!”

The Cornish Pirates community team presently has three more coaching sessions to deliver to the ladies at Penryn, as follows:-

Sunday 11 th July - Gym & Swim at Ships and Castles Leisure Centre, Falmouth (time tbc)

Sunday 8 th July - Training session at Penryn RFC from 1-3pm

Sunday 22 nd August – 'Tag' rugby tournament at Penryn RFC from 12-3pm
