Community Team At Lanner School

The Cornish Pirates have recently delivered another 'Super Learning Day' for the benefit of Cornish schoolchildren.

Visiting Lanner School, community coach Mike Crump gave a coaching session, which was followed by the classroom section taken by Cornish Pirates Learning Zone staff John Watson and Ross Jones.

The classroom session concentrated on diversity, which proved very worthwhile by enabling children to find out more about the Cornish Pirates players, including their backgrounds and where they were from.

The children then ended the day learning new drills and skills under the supervision of Mike Crump, and they also played a competitive game of 'tag' rugby.

The Cornish Pirates community team have one more Super Learning Day left to deliver before the end of term, which will be at Portreath Primary school.
