July 2009 Always willing to respond, Pirates players have again given of
their time to present awards that have recognised achievements made by schoolchildren.
On Thursday of last week Alan Paver and Jimmy Moore were at the Pirates
clubhouse to hand out certificates and prizes to various students who have attended
the Cornish Pirates Learning Zone this past term. 
Parents
and family members gathered in the lounge alongside CPLZ staff, all equally proud
of the efforts made by the youngsters. On Friday, it was the turn of Tom
Luke and Mike Myerscough to visit Humphry Davy School, where they had the honour
of presenting certificates to students who had passed a 'Leadership programme'
course taken at the Learning Zone by teacher Clare Moore. ad a session in
a variety of sports for year 5 and 6 students from St Mary's Primary School. |
