Spring Term
April 20th 2010
Staff at the Cornish Pirates Learning Zone (Penzance) and the CPR Learning Space (Camborne) have successfully negotiated the recently completed Spring term.
In total, 120 pupils from Trevithick, Weeth, Treleigh, Treloweth, Pool, Ludgvan, Mousehole, Camborne, Gulval, St Buryan and Nancledra schools have attended since January.
All staff would like to thank the Cornish Pirates for their continued involvement with the children. Players and coaching staff visit both venues and are interviewed by the pupils, and they also attend the presentation evenings held at the end of term.
A special well done has been expressed to the children who attended the art course last term and whose work was exhibited at the Crypt Gallery St Ives. Attending a 10-week course, they took part in art activities at St Ives School of Painting, Penzance Arts Club, the Tate Gallery and Penlee Gallery.

They had a wonderful time and derived benefit from a proper ‘artist experience.’
Over the summer term it won’t be all 'close season' and many of the Cornish Pirates players will also be taking time out to come and help the children once more.
Teacher John Watson also says: “Keep an eye out for our bus around town too!”
