Reflections At Xmas
December 2009
At the end of another very successful term at CPLZ in Penzance & Camborne it is a time for reflection and contemplation at this very special time of year. John Watson writes:
All of our team here at ‘The Zone’ would like to thank all the players and coaching staff who have given up their time to be interviewed or present achievement awards to the children of West Cornwall, always with a smile. Your warmth and presence is a joy to us all. CHEERS Lads.
We would also like to thank the club for all the generous support they give us throughout the year. Some of you may not know that every one of the children that attend CPLZ are given a complementary pair of tickets to a game. We are also indebted to the club for the donations of past match day programmes to help the children with their reading skills. Many thanks to you all.
To all the staff of the zone and schools, thanks for your efforts with the children we work with. From Brian and Sharon in the bus, who volunteer every day to our 15 mentors from the colleges and schools of West Cornwall who give up their time for free. Many thanks.
Last but by no means least the children who attend the Cornish Pirates Learning Zone, well done and thanks for your hard work.
So all that remains is for us to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Then of course we wondered what we would like as a gift here at the zone?
Bonus points versus Plymouth & Bristol! C’mon lads………
