RFU Championship Round 10
Sunday 8th November2009
Kick-off 2pm
Phil Westren's Preview
The Cornish Pirates are under no illusions that Sunday's Championship game versus Bedford Blues will provide nothing less than the sternest of tests.
However, they will also be looking forward to playing at home, as they endeavour to put behind them the disappointment of losing at Rotherham last week.
Back in the side at scrum-half is club captain Gavin Cattle, which means that James Doherty drops to the bench.
Wing Aisea Havili and centre Mark Ireland return to the starting line-up in place of Rhodri McAtee and Steve Winn, and there are also a number of changes in the forwards.
In the front-row, Scott Franklin comes in at loose-head prop in place of an injured Alan Paver, and at hooker Dave Ward is selected ahead of Rob Elloway.
Lock Shaun Pammenter, who missed last week's trip to Yorkshire because of illness, will partner Ben Gulliver in the second-row, allowing Laurie McGlone to drop back to his more familiar role at No. 8. Sam Betty and Blair Cowan are the chosen flankers.
Listed among the replacements is fit again prop Ryan Storer, who'll be keen to return to action..
