Congratulations to Gavin Cattle and Sam Betty who are both lined up to make their 100th appearances for the Pirates this weekend

The side named for Sunday's clash against Nottingham is again a strong one, with just a small number of players out of contention because of injuries.

There are only two changes in the starting line-up from the side that beat Plymouth Albion 13-9 at the Brickfields last week.

Wes Davies is selected on the wing in place of Nick Jackson, and in the front-row Carl Rimmer replaces Ryan Storer

Lock Sam Raven, who had a spell last year with the Pirates last season, but has since returned to the 'Green & Whites', is looking forward to the Sunday's contest.

He commented: “We aim to balance the books having lost 13-24 to the Pirates on the opening weekend of the Championship season, and will also look to gain momentum through our performance as the play-offs approach.”

Speaking ahead of the game for the Pirates, High Performance Manager Chris Stirling is looking forward to a good spectacle on Sunday, saying: “Our aim is to maintain and hopefully improve the level shown against Plymouth Albion, whilst at the same time rectify areas that weren't so good.

If we do that, then I'm confident we can come away with a solid performance and a result.”

Prior to kick-off there will be a minutes's silence to enable supporters to show their respect for three men linked to the club who have recently passed away.

As many will be aware, Darren Hicks, Tony Stevenson and John Barnes all had close associations with the Pirates.
