End Of Season Awards Presented After The Bristol Match (1st May 2010)
This year's format for the presentation of the 'Pirates' Awards was a little different, with some presented from the main grandstand after the Bristol match, and others presented at the Awards Evening & Dinner held at Penwith College on Saturday night. It worked well.
The first three post Bristol match awards were announced by Phil Westren and presented by Dicky Evans as follows:-

Travelling Supporters Player Of The Year Rob Cook Rob has been a revelation in his first season playing for the Pirates. Given the opportunity to become a full-time professional, the former Nuneaton player has more than stepped up to the mark both as a kicker and try-scorer. In 30 appearances he has amassed 249 points, an amazing figure considering he had only seven points to his name at the end of October. |
The Roger Pascoe Cup Blair Cowan An immense contributor, back-rower Blair never gives less than 100%. He also has a knack of planting the ball over the line, scoring 15 tries for this Pirates this season - including 14 in the Championship. |
The President's Cup

This was the last post match trophy to present, when Penzance & Newlyn RFC's President was called upon to say a few words and make the presentation.
Robin Turner was delighted to announce Sam as the winner, the young Cornishman having been an outstanding contributor on the field who has really come of age this season.
