With the 2008-09 playing season all but at an end, the Cornish Pirates can confirm the names of the two new coaches that will form part of a new coaching set-up led by Chris Stirling as High Performance Manage

Joining the Cornish Pirates as Backs Coach is former Natal Sharks and London Wasps scrum-half Harvey Biljon.
Harvey, a 31yr old South African, is presently an England Counties Coach and Director of Rugby at Blackheath.
He has commented that coaching is his passion, and is looking forward to stepping back into a full-time professional environment, to help develop players and the team to reach higher levels within the game
Ian Davies, the new Forwards Coach, holds the top RFU coaching qualification - Level 4.
36yr old Ian, currently Director of Rugby at Worthing and an England Counties Coach, played for Llanelli before his career was cruelly cut short because of a severe back injury.
The Cornish Pirates received over 40 suitably qualified applications for the two coaching posts advertised and in appointing Harvey and Ian it is felt that both fit the template of young professional people with class and ability who will develop players and enhance the future of the Club.
Excellent references were received for both Harvey and Ian and both applicants were fully supported by Kevin Bowring, Head of Elite Coach Development at the RFU.
Both coaches will arrive in Cornwall during May, as will Chris Stirling who been involved throughout the process from New Zealand.
