Chris Takes Keys Of 180 CGI Blue EFFICIENCY Saloon From Mercedes-Benz of Truro

Chris Stirling, the Cornish Pirates High Performance Manager, will be delighted if the remainder of his team's season turns out to be as smooth and effortless as the motoring that he is now enjoying aboard a new Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The Cornish Pirates have just kicked-off a business partnership between the club and Mercedes-Benz of Truro for Chris to take delivery of a new C 180 CGI Blue EFFICIENCY Saloon supplied by Cornwall’s only official Mercedes-Benz retailer.

As he oversees the Pirates drive towards top-flight rugby, it seems quite fitting that Chris should be teamed up with the most recent addition to the popular C-Class range, which he will use in his day-to-day club duties.

The stylish saloon utilises the latest direct injection petrol technology to minimise CO2 emissions and deliver impressive fuel consumption of 40.4 miles per gallon (combined).

“To have the use of such a fantastic car as a Mercedes-Benz is great news for me as I can drive a lot of miles in my role undertaking coaching, scouting, watching future opponents, and also community activities, so comfort, safety and reliability are all-important,” explained Chris.

“We believe it is vital to the success of the club and our ambitions that we build links with local businesses like Mercedes-Benz of Truro, as vital support such as this enables us to keep alive the dream of bringing Premiership rugby to Cornwall.”

Commenting on the sponsorship arrangement, Peter Woodford, Mercedes-Benz of Truro’s Sales Manager, was delighted to forge the sporting link with the Cornish Pirates.

“As his job title suggests, Chris is someone to whom performance is absolutely key so I’m sure that he will be impressed by the powerful yet frugal attributes of the C-Class,” he said.

“As the only official outlet for Mercedes-Benz sales and after sales in Cornwall, we are delighted to have the opportunity to put our name in front of hundreds of Pirates supporters who will see the car on match days and many more people who will notice it on a daily basis,” he added.
