When the Cornish Pirates played London Welsh at the Mennaye Field, Penzance, a collection took place in support of 'Golowan'.
Council cutbacks have hit Golowan very hard this year, so the support from the Pirates was greatly appreciated.
The 19-27th June will mark the 20th Golowan Festival in Penzance, which is a mightily important event not just in Penwith's calendar but in Cornwall's as well, so the Cornish Pirates were delighted to respond and help.
Speaking on behalf of the Golowan Festival Office, Mike Sagar-Fenton thanked the Pirates for their positive response and supporters who gave so generously to help raise the worthy sum of £309-77.
