Youth Coaching For Haiti Fund
4th March 2010
Following the recent earthquake disaster in Haiti, organisations all over the world wanted to do their bit to help – including the Pirates.

Leon Pohe, one of the club's community coaches, suggested that if Cornish Pirates players attended a mini-rugby session to pass on new ideas to youngsters, then in return the young players could donate £1 each to the appeal.
The proposal culminated in a training session at the new all weather pitch at Penwith College last week, which proved very successful, raising over £200.
Extra monies were also raised thanks to Youth Section officials and volunteer mums who provided refreshments.
Alan Paver helped co-ordinate the event that was attended by fellow players and coaches.
All who attended agreed the event was extremely beneficial, and that being involved with something so worthwhile made a strong impression on the young players
