Despite having played and given so much of themselves in the closely fought Championship play-offs opener at the Memorial Stadium, Bristol, last Friday evening, come lunchtime on Saturday durable prop forwards Alan Paver and Carl Rimmer sportingly did the honours to cut the ribbon of Midas Homes' new four bedroom show home at its TR1 development in Truro, officially opening it to the public.

Wayne Bennett, sales and marketing director for Midas Homes said:
“The Pirates are well loved throughout the Duchy and we were thrilled to have players from the team with us on Saturday. The event was a huge success”
Cornish Pirates marketing manager Rudi Grenfell, who was also present at the opening, added: “We are always keen to support projects in Cornwall and were pleased to assist Midas Homes in the opening of the new show home.
TR1 is a great development which is working to keep part of Cornwall's history by refurbishing the old city hospital.
We wish Midas Homes every success with the site.”
